Lana’s Label

A few weeks ago, I placed an order for a personalized Winnie the Pooh lunch box for Lana. I got it first thing Monday morning at work and it looks brilliant. It’s roomy to put her lunch, yoghurt and fruit.

Lana loves it because the lid has got a picture of Pooh lying on a hammock with his hand in a pot of honey (hunny). Mummy likes it because, it’s got Lana’s name on it!

Like other Mums, I want Lana’s stuffs with her names all over them. She’s got a personalized pink backpack that I carry with pride. It’s a bit pricey but it’s so cute. And I want to indulge myself sometimes. Besides, I feel like I’m a kid again having Lana around. Buying little presents for her is like buying presents for me.

Another favorite item of mine is Lana’s drinking bottle. I personalized the cover myself using Photoshop and whoever sees it would usually say, “Oh, that’s soo cute!” or “Where did you get that from?”


The cover can be replaced with any picture. The latest one that I did was the one taken a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been wanting to replace the cover but I’m just flat out at the moment. I’ve also been wanting to get another one of those bottles but I couldn’t find them anymore. Here are some designs for her bottles:



The other thing that I want to get for her is probably a stationery set, but that can wait.

Being A Mum

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I just love motherhood!!!

 

They are so many things I love doing with Lana; painting, playing, reading books, dancing, drawing, singing, walking, to name a few. There are lots of wonderful things we do together! 

 

She’s always full of fun! Always giggling! Always happy. She doesn’t stop to amuse us! She’s literally a heaven on earth!

 

She is truly remarkable. She can say so many words now, from “Good morning, Mummy” to “Have a good day!” She knows exactly what to say to someone at the right time. She knows how to apologize and she knows how to make you feel better.

 

It certainly is a delight to be with her.  Sometimes, the weekends are not enough to do all the things we want to do. Thus, it’s imperative that I spend my non-working days with her. Every minute with Lana is so precious to me.

 

Besides, time flies and before we know it, my little girl is already a big girl hanging out with her own friends. So, at the moment, Dad especially Mum will enjoy spending time with her first! Giving her lots of cuddles, kisses and lots of love!

 

Being a mum is really wonderful. Being Lana’s Mum is exceptionally wonderful.

 

 And I love being Lana’s Mum. She is truly an angel!

What A Cutie!

My gorgeous girl has been putting on her own clothes and shoes before she even turned 2. She’d put her own shoes on and take them off when she’s told to. She likes to take her own nappy before her bath. She usually says, “Lana do it”, when she wants to do something herself.

 

This morning, as she was getting ready to go to child care, I asked her to put her own shoes and socks. As we were pressed of time, neither Russ nor me checked if she’s put them on properly. Besides, she’s done a good job  100% of the time getting herself ready so we didn’t bother checking them.

 

As I was getting her out of the car, I noticed that she was wearing her shoes on the wrong foot and her socks weren’t even put on properly. I just gave her a big kiss for trying to be independent. She is just sooooooooooooo cute! (Sigh!)

 

Terrible Tot on Toilet Training

It’s been two weeks since Lana started going to toilet to do a wee. She’s been doing it before having a bath at night. She would insist and would say, “Lana do wee in the toilet” after she’s taken her nappy off. I thought she was just having a play but she is really is doing a wee every time she sits on it. So, last week, I grabbed a toilet ring from Big W so she could be as comfortable as she can when nature calls.

 

Russ was still against the idea of her sitting on the toilet as she has a potty. But it seems that Lana doesn’t like her potty anymore. She used it a few times to do a wee but now she’s totally ignoring it.

 

And since I want to incorporate a toilet training session in our morning routine, we got up 15 minutes early today so I could sit her on the toilet after breakfast. I want her to be in a habit of sitting on the toilet either to do a wee or poo in the morning before we go out. And this morning, she did a big wee!

 

At 2 years and 2 months old, she’s very enthusiastic about doing it. Perhaps she could see her mates in childcare going to toilet. O perhaps, she’s ready to do the big girl ‘thing’ and do what big kids do! Whatever it is, it’s going to be a big help once she stopped using nappies…a big help to mother nature and a big help to Mummy’s grocery bill!
