Ear infection, Teething & Me

We took Lana to a hospital in Castlemaine last night after dinner, as we believe she has an ear infection. But as soon as we got off the car, she was happy as a bee. She was playing the whole time we were in the waiting room and chattering away. The nurses might be wondering why we went to the hospital. The good doctor on call (from Lyttleton Street Medical Clinic) gave her some antibiotics.

At the same time she has an ear infection, her first molar teeth are developing. She has been having fevers at night and has been restless. Last week she woke up after 2 am and wouldn’t stop crying until I brought her out of the bedroom. I gave her her bottle and we played for 3 hours! She then went back to sleep but she did it again the next night and the night after that but the last two nights she was up only for half an hour.

Poor baby, she must be in pain. I have given her paracetamol for her fever and Bonjela for her gums to numb the pain. I think they also helped as she slept better after she has taken them.

Well, since I myself have been feeling unwell the last few days, I also went to visit my doctor and was given an antibiotic for my ailment. Apparently I have asthma but I don’t think that I have so I refused to use the puff that the doctor gave me. However, I have been coughing my guts out but I have been drinking lemon tea with honey for my cough and hopefully I feel a 100% again real soon so does Lana.
