I just gave my boss a call this week to let him know that I will be returning to work. My one year's maternity leave is almost finished so I told him that I will resume work on the 9th of February. We might put Lana in ABC Childcare in Kangaroo Flat once a week and probably for a couple of days in Newstead. We've been to visit the former and it seems like a very nice place for her. It's homey and the staff seems friendly and cheerful. I'm sure she'll learn plenty of things there. All I need to do is send in the enrolment form and she'll be looked after.
What I plan to do is drop her off in ABC at 8.30am and pick her up at 5 or maybe 5.30 after work. I don't like the idea of hiring a yaya. I still prefer her to go to a centre where there are professionals to look after her. It's more like a school for Lana where she will learn to interact with other kids and do plenty of things.
The Newstead Centre will still get back to me in January to let me know if they still have a spot for Lana.
